Long ago an ancient city excisted. With its wealth, fame and power the city kept on living trough many years. The emperor of this mighty city was an unmercyful man called Sanus. Many say he practised magic to slay his enemies and protect the city. Mystical creatures and demons were said to protect Sanus and his throne. It was certain that even the citizens were affraid of Sanus.
This fear lead eventually to the fall of Sanus. Riots and rebels started to cause chaos and terror inside the city. To punish the citizens Sanus called out the creatures and demons, but the more he used his magic, the more cursed he became. Darkness slowly took over the city. Sanus himself had seen the end of his life due to the curse. He wanted to keep his city intact and therefor combining the three elements he casted a cloaking spell over the entire city. So it will remain hidden from the outside world for eternity. The city became forgotten in time, because others believed it got totally destroyed.
Lara croft, superior archaeologist, discovered some information about the forgotten city. With a vital clue from ancient scrolls and books she decrypted the next line: "When darkness comes, Light is revealed. Also encrypting the three elemental objects her adventure begins. The search for the forgotten city of Sanus.
Builders note: With time, this section will be expanded various sketches and artwork.
The sun key is believed to be located inside the pyramid of Cheops. Lara starts in the desert near the Pyramid plateau. Due to the plateu being closed for tourists, she has no choice but to take a detour trough the Banta.
Reaching the pyramid plateu, Lara finds a way to sneak inside the pyramid. Here waits her death and darkness. Still the pyramid is unexplored and many traps may lie ahead. But unfortunate the sun key is not located inside the pyramid. Lara encodes the symbols on the wall revealing an underground city leading towards the holy temple of Ra. The entrance seems to be inside the pyramid. After quick search in the chamber, Lara discovers the entrance and decends deeper and deeper. The smell of the dead is even stronger here. After a quick exploration she stumbles upon a giant cave filled with weird looking houses. Series of creatures, traps and obstacles leads Lara to the far end of the burial city reaching the holy temple of Ra.
The temple of Ra is the sanctuary for the sun key. But such artefact is not given away without a battle. The two solar guardians with their mythical birds were drawn everywhere on the walls inside the temple. An true challange it is going to be.
Earth is the second element in search for the city of Sanus. After Lara spend days searching for more evidence and clues, she discovers and unknown tribe in India. The ancient tribe Ukanimba used to live inside the jungle. Nobody dares to explore the jungle due its vastness and size. But Lara believes the ancient Jungle ruins will reveal the location.
The adventure trough India takes her trough the vast jungle into the sacred valley and city of Ukanimba. The leftover but intact ruins shows the great wealth of the Ukanimba tribe. Many evidence has been found which finally revealed the true location of the Earth key; The temple of Neptune. The temple of Neptune was not build by the Ukanimba tribe, infact nobody knows it even excisted. The location lies deep somewhere beyond the valley. It is suprising that besides Lara nobody ever discovered it.
Third and final element Lara is chasing. This time she finds herself on the pacific islands of Shama. The Shama islands are still populated by the tribes which have settled their homes and temples inside the mountains. Even though the pacific islands are tropical areas, for some reason the mountains of Shama have snow.
Lara will start her adventure following the deadly river of Shama. The Shama villagers are not friendly at all and will protect their sacred land. There is no choice but to follow the river to reach the higher mountains. While climbing the environment slowly begins to change from warm tropical to cold and snowy climate. Inside one of the mountains is a huge cave where four giant statues stand. It is believed that the people of Shama had build these statues with the help of giants. Each statue is holding a mirror, representing the light being reflected from the gap in the ceiling. The shining diamond in the centre, also called the moon light, is actually the entrance to the top of the mountain where the hidden temple of aR lies.
The moon temple of aR is the one and only resting place of the third elemental key, the Moon key. Compared to the sun temple and the earth temple, the moon temple is far more dangerous and mysterious. Strange creatures and deadly traps protect the precious moon key.
The final destination of miss Croft and also the final search for the remaining artefact; The Elemental circle. The Elemental circle was created by Sanus to forge the sun, earth and moon key. In order to recombine them the circle itself is needed. Yet it is located inside the palm of the Beyonder. The Beyonder supose to be a giant stone creature, acting as a gatekeeper between the canyon pass and the city itself. When Sanus was dying he created the Beyonder giving him the elemental circle to protect. Yet the magical power faded not long after and the creature starting crumbling. All that remains his hand sticking out of the ground reaching for the sky. And in his palm, holding the precious artefact.
In order to lift the cloaking spell, darkness must be created trough a sun eclipse. Combining the three elemental keys, the eclipse will occur and darkness will fall across the grassy plains slowly revealing the city back into the light. Not only revealing the city, but also it's darkside. Even though natural sun eclipses occur in our universe, the spell cannot be broken without the Element Circle being reunited with the keys. Therefor, many people have searched for the city during a eclipse but without luck.
Will Lara be able to obtain the Elemental circle from the Beyonder's hand? Will the sun eclipse occur when combining all the artefacts or is the entire Sanus legend a lie? What darkness awaits our archaeoligist. Tighten your straps, load your guns, put on your backpack.
